My family has hit a couple of milestones recently which have reminded me that my Mom was right (as she always is!)- enjoy those kiddos when they are little because they grow up way too fast.
Luci turned 16 recently and is officially a licensed NH driver – yikes! We were fortunate to take a long weekend trip to Miami to celebrate her birthday and enjoy some fun in the sun. She tried a couple new activities- parasailing and a high ropes course at a local botanical garden. It was such a pleasure to watch her explore and excel at activities that I would have been too chicken to try when I was her age. I’ve always preferred to stay on the ground!
Laney continues to lean into her love of playing soccer in addition to whatever seasonal sport is available. She’s wrapping up a challenging basketball season, sneaking in some time on the slopes, gearing up for spring soccer and possibly trying lacrosse for the first time.
What a privilege it is to watch these girls turn into young women; I can’t wait to see what they have in store for me next.
