We are happy to introduce our newest team member, Phillip Kashin, an aspiring CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional. Phillip shares our passion for helping our clients achieve their life goals through sound financial planning.
A Purpose-Driven Transition
Before joining the financial planning field, Phillip spent a decade in insurance. During that time, he noticed that many people, regardless of their net worth or income level, were in the dark about insurance and finances in general. It bothered him to see so many Americans struggling to properly manage their finances, especially when the pandemic hit. It was then that he found his true calling – to be a financial guide, empowering folks to take charge of their finances and reach their life goals. So, he took the plunge and shifted careers.
Education and a New Path
Phillip earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science with a minor in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia. Phillip is also a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) and obtained the Associates in Insurance (AINS®) designation during his time in the insurance industry.
After embarking on this career shift, Phillip proactively pursued his FINRA Series 65 license and completed his financial planning coursework. Phillip also passed the CFP® Board exam.
As a career changer, Phillip is excited to work with and learn from the close-knit, knowledgeable team at Bartley Financial.
Personal Life
When he’s not in the financial world, he’s a die-hard Steelers fan (sorry, Patriot fans!), enjoys CrossFit and Peloton rides, and shares his home in HOT Tucson, AZ, with his lovely wife Molly and their cat, Toulouse.
